We were taking Aaron to the Denver International Airport for a flight. He read about the best use for a water catch basin in an urban setting. The community on the old Stapleton runway created a catch basin for water runoff. But instead of just keeping it for that purpose, they decided to create a public stage for the community for when it is not raining. This is a cool idea!
Catch basin to local Theater
The catch basin had a nice stage and is surrounded by newer homes. The sides had steps leading into the lower area to make it easier for people to get in and out of the grass area, which doubled as the catch basin. The steps on either side made nice seats also. There were two bike racks on either side.
